
Back To Back – Salter Repeats as CUSA Offensive Player of the Week

For the second week in a row, Liberty's Kaidon Salter has been the conference's standout offensive player in a convincing road victory.
Salter has been named this week's Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week following his performance during Liberty's 38-6 conference road win at FIU on Saturday.
The sophomore finished the game with 233 total offensive yards and he scored four of Liberty's five touchdowns.
Salter completed 11-of-21 passing attempts for 156 yards with two touchdowns, while rushing nine times for 77 yards and two more touchdowns.
The native of Cedar Hill, Texas has accounted for 10 of Liberty's 12 touchdowns in the last two games. He currently ranks No. 2 in the country in points responsible for (96) and points responsible for per game (24.0).
The mobile quarterback aided in Liberty's most dominant rushing performance of the year. The Flames finished the FIU game with 364 rushing yards and the team now ranks No. 2 in the country in rushing offense (271.2 yards per game).
Salter currently leads Conference USA and ranks No. 25 in the country in total offense, averaging 296.8 yards per game. He has helped Liberty surpass the 500 total offensive yard mark in the last three games and has the Flames ranked No. 11 in the country in total offense (501.0 yards per game).
The dual-threat quarterback ranks No. 9 in the country in passing touchdowns (11) and second among quarterbacks in total rushing touchdowns (5). Overall, he ranks No. 17 nationally in total rushing touchdowns.
What's Next:
Following their first bye week of the season, the Flames and the rest of Conference USA will make the switch to midweek games for the entire month of October. Liberty's first Midweek on the Mountain matchups pits the Flames against fellow CUSA newcomer Sam Houston on Oct. 5 at Williams Stadium. The game will be one of only two nationally televised games that Thursday evening and can be seen on CBS Sports Network and heard on LFSN Radio.
