As part of the team's preparation for their Thursday night Conference USA game against Sam Houston, Liberty Head Football Coach Jamey Chadwell met with the media on Tuesday.
During the media session, Chadwell provided his final thoughts on Liberty's CUSA opening win over Delaware, plus looked ahead to the Midweek on the Mountain matchup against Sam Houston.
After Chadwell's weekly presser, running back Peyton Jones and safety Izaiah Guy addressed the media from the Media Room inside the Liberty Football Center.
The home team has posted a narrow victory in each of the two previous meetings between the Flames and Bearkats, who both joined CUSA in 2023.
Liberty opened its fourth season of CUSA play with a 30-14 victory at Delaware on Friday. The Flames scored the game's first 30 points and racked up a season-high 282 rushing yards.

After posting a career-high 166 yards on the ground at Coastal Carolina, Davis went for 147 yards and a career-best two rushing touchdowns at Delaware. He ranks No. 9 nationally with 7.1 yards per carry this season.
