Liberty’s Top Storylines
• This is the second meeting in three days between the two squads. Liberty topped Queens 85-77 at Curry Arena in Charlotte, N.C., Wednesday evening.
• Friday is Senior Night for the program. Prior to the game, the Flames will honor five players (Darius McGhee, Blake Preston, Kyle Rode, Shiloh Robinson and Stephen Burggraf) and two managers (Tyler Czock and Joshua Street).
• Liberty is in the top 10 nationally in total three-pointers (No. 2, 321), scoring margin (No. 3, 15.0), three-pointers per game (No. 5, 10.7), assists/turnover ratio (No. 6, 1.58) and scoring defense (No. 10, 60.4).
• McGhee (503 career three-pointers) made five threes at Queens and became the fourth player in NCAA history with 500 or more career threes.
• McGhee earned his league-leading fourth ASUN Player of the Week honor on Monday.
• McGhee (22.5 ppg) ranks No. 2 in the nation in both three-point field goals per game (4.57) and total three-pointers made (137). He needs six threes to surpass his program record for threes in a season (142), which he set last year.
• The Flames are No. 45 in the country in the NET Rankings and No. 46 in the KenPom.
• Liberty is 35-3 all-time in ASUN home games and a perfect 8-0 in 2023.
