LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Liberty men's basketball program has announced the addition of Will Gibson for the 2024-25 school year.
Gibson is a 6-6 forward who currently attends DeSales High School in Louisville, Ky.
"Will Gibson is one of those sneaky good basketball players that when you walk in the gym and you start watching the game, you might miss him and understate the value he has on winning basketball," said Liberty Men's Basketball Head Coach Ritchie McKay. "He's another terrific kid from a great family who has been well coached. He'll be a great addition to our room."
Gibson has compiled numerous accolades during his prep career. In 2023, he was named a Prep Hoops all-state third team honoree, 6th Region Top 10 player and District 22 all-district team selection. Gibson was also named a Kentucky Junior All-Star and a NCAA College Basketball Academy selection.
In 2022, Gibson was tabbed to the District 22 all-district team and was named varsity MVP.
