Mitchell Finishes 10th in Texas Relays Men’s Shot Put

All-American Kyle Mitchell finished 10th in Section A of the men’s shot put, accounting for Liberty’s best finish on the final day of the Texas Relays, Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
A year after claiming the Texas Relays Section A title, Mitchell reached 58-9.25 for 10th place in Saturday’s competition, which featured 2021 NCAA runner-up Adrian Piperi of host Texas.
Competing in Section A of the Texas Relays women’s shot put for the second time in her career, Naomi Mojica came in 13th with a best mark of 50-2.5

Liberty will compete on both the East Coast (VertKlasse Meeting in High Point, N.C.) and West Coast (Stanford Invitational in Stanford, Calif.) next weekend.
