Game Notes: Liberty vs. Syracuse
Liberty Head Football Coach Hugh Freeze held his first weekly press conference of the 2019 season earlier on Monday from the Club Pavilion of the Carter Tower at Williams Stadium.
During the 30-minute press event, Freeze recapped Liberty's August Training Camp and previewed the Flames' season-opening match-up against No. 22/22 Syracuse on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Williams Stadium.
Liberty will kick off its 47th football season by making program history. Freeze, Liberty's first-year head coach, and his squad will host an FBS top 25 foe for the first time in program history and welcome their first-ever Power 5 program to Williams Stadium.
