LFSN Game On is running a video series introducing Liberty fans to Atlantic Sun (ASUN) member institutions. The fourth ASUN member to be profiled is Lipscomb.
Lipscomb University, located in Nashville, Tenn., was founded in 1891 and currently sponsors 17 NCAA Division I sports. Lipscomb has been a member of the ASUN Conference since 2003.
During the 2017-18 academic year, Lipscomb's men's soccer and men's basketball programs captured ASUN titles, earning berths in the NCAA Tournament. The Bisons' cross country programs have experienced success over the past several years. The women's squad has captured six of the last seven ASUN women's cross country championships, while the men have won four of the past five league titles. Lipscomb's volleyball program has qualified for the NCAA Tournament in seven of the past 11 years.
July 1 marked Liberty Athletics' first official day as a member of the ASUN Conference.
