• LHP Victor Cole has been named the Big South Pitcher of the Week for April 6-12. It is the second time this season that the left-hander has received the honor.
• Cole was selected as the Big South Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 23-March 1.
• Cole moved to 4-1 with eight scoreless innings, combining with RHP Caleb Evans to shut out Campbell for the first time this season, 7-0. Cole allowed one baserunner to reach second base.
• Currently, Cole ranks fourth in ERA (2.38), sixth in innings pitched (56 2/3) and third in opponent batting (.205).
• 3B Sammy Taormina hit .500 in five games this past week. Taormina capped the week with three hits, his first home run and two run scored in Liberty's 10-2 win over Campbell, Sunday.
• Currently, Taormina is on a career-high six game hitting streak.
• 2B Clay Keranen collected a career-high three RBI with two hits vs Maryland, Wednesday.
• Keranen posted the first three-hit game of his career, scoring twice in Liberty's victory over Campbell, Sunday afternoon.
• LHP Jared leads the Big South in ERA (1.24) and opponent batting average (.189).
• LHP Shawn Clowers moved to 8-2, Sunday. Clowers leads the Big South and is tied for the national lead in wins.
• OF/RHP Ashton Perritt posted back-to-back three-hit games in Liberty wins over Campbell, Saturday and Sunday.
• 1B Alex Close hit his third home run of the season in Liberty's win on Sunday. The senior currently ranks fifth all-time with 29 career home runs.
• DH/1B Andrew Yacyk collected three hits, a double, a RBI and two runs scored in the Flames' win, this past Sunday.
Flames Add Contest with East Carolina
• Liberty has announced the addition of a game with the East Carolina Pirates on April 29 at Liberty Baseball Stadium. Game time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
• The game replaces one of the three contests the Flames lost earlier in the season due to weather issues.
• Earlier this season, the Flames defeated the Pirates, 4-3, in a tightly contested contest at Clark-LeClair Stadium in the Keith LeClair Classic on Feb. 22.
