Cheerleading Wins 3rd Straight CCA National Title

The Liberty cheerleading squad recently brought home another trophy after clinching the grand champion title in the Christian Cheerleaders of America (CCA) Nationals on March 7. Consisting of 11 men and 10 women, Liberty's large coed team competed against four Christian schools with both small and coed divisions en route to its third straight CCA national title.
"This is the first time in about 10 years that Liberty has competed a true large coed team and the coaching staff is proud of all that Large Coed accomplished in just six weeks leading up to CCA Nationals," head coach Jordan Ballard stated.
"The biggest accomplishment from CCA Nationals is the team's ability to be a Christian example to the younger teams (high school and below) at the competition and to demonstrate how Christian athletes can use their talents for Christ," Ballard added.
Liberty will now send its all-girl STUNT team to compete at Delaware on Saturday, before competing in the partner stunt competition at NCA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla. on April 11. The squad will also hold tryouts at the end of the season on April 17-18. For tryout information, click here.
