In this week's Liberty Flames podcast, host Alan York sits down for a one-on-one interview with Flames wide receiver Ervin Garner, one of several players who helped Liberty post a 27-23 victory over FBS opponent Ball State, last Saturday night.
The contest, which marked Liberty's first win over a FBS program since 1989, was the first of the season for Garner. The junior missed the season opener against St. Francis, Pa., due to a knee injury. Against the Cardinals, Garner finished with three receptions for 46 yards. The former Virginia Tech player finished his first season at Liberty with six receptions for 124 yards in 2009.
In an effort to continue to expand its coverage of Liberty Athletics, the Flames Sports Network (FSN) has launched the Liberty Flames podcast, a weekly podcast dedicated to an inside coverage of Liberty Athletics.
The weekly podcast will be hosted by Alan York, of FSN Radio and the new radio "Voice of the Flames," and will feature weekly segments with Athletics Department coaches, student-athletes and administrators.
The show will be made available for download in various forms each week, including through the iTunes U directory. Fans wishing to have the weekly audio podcast automatically downloaded to their iTunes account just need to search for "Liberty Flames podcast" on the iTunes U directory and hit the subscribe button.
The Liberty Flames podcast will also be made available on LibertyFlames.com and can be listened to directly from the official web site of the Liberty University Athletics Department.
