
Klugh Runs ECAC-Qualifying 4:56 Mile

Liberty sophomore Jennifer Klugh made a successful final tune-up for the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships, Saturday at the Virginia Tech Challenge. She clocked a personal-best 4:56.25 in the mile at the Rector Field House, qualifying for the ECAC Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Klugh (Centerburg, Ohio) won her heat and finished fifth overall out of 38 entrants. After cutting more than three seconds off of her previous personal best, the Buckeye State native now ranks No. 4 on the program's all-time performance list in the mile.
Liberty will return to action Saturday, when the 2010 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships get underway at Clemson. The Liberty men's team will aim for its 13th consecutive indoor conference title, while the Lady Flames try for their first championship since 2005.
