Come celebrate the Christmas season this Saturday at the Vines Center, as your men's basketball team plays host to George Mason at 7 p.m.
All fans in attendance will be eligible for a chance to participate in a halftime gift grab giveaway, which will feature significant prizes, along with other reindeer games. Additionally, a special guest will be making an appearance during the game to thrill children of all ages.
For the first time in program history, Liberty has started Big South play with a 2-0 record and is 6-4 overall. The Flames are coming off an impressive 75-72 Saturday night victory over Winthrop, the Big South's defending champion and one of the teams favored to challenge for the league title this year.
George Mason is 6-2 overall this year and opened up CAA play this past weekend with an 80-52 victory over UNC Wilmington at home. The Patriots are currently on a four-game winning streak, a run that began with an 81-55 victory over Big South foe Radford.
George Mason leads the overall series with the Flames, 5-3, and the two teams will meet for the fourth-straight season on Saturday. The last time the Patriots visited the Vines Center, fans were treated to a thriller, as the Flames won 69-66 in overtime on Dec. 1, 2008.
