Michael Tucker assumed his role as Assistant Athletic Performance Coach in Sept. 2024. He current works with the Liberty women's swimming and diving program, the men's and women's tennis teams and the men's golf program.
Tucker comes to Liberty after serving as the head strength coach at Bridgewater for two years (Sept. 2022-Sept. 2024). Prior to that, he was an assistant strength coach there for a year. He also gained experience as a graduate assistant at Concordia St. Paul (Jan. 2020-Sept. 2021). Tucker also was an intern with James Madison (summer 2022), TCU (fall 2019) and Liberty (summer 2019).
Tucker earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Old Dominion in May 2019. He received a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia St. Paul in March 2023.
Tucker and his wife, Lindsey, were married in Sept. 2024.
