Conner Cornwell, an alumnus of Liberty University, returned to his alma mater in September 2021 when he became the Director of Fan Engagement and Promotions. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Fan Experience and Promotions in Jan. 2024.
In his current role, Cornwell is responsible for creating and executing marketing plans and developing attendance and revenue generating promotions. He is also responsible for coordinating game day activities to improve the fan experience at Liberty home athletic events. Cornwell is the primary marketing contact for Football, Men’s Basketball and Baseball.
Prior to returning to Liberty, Cornwell worked in the Athletics Marketing Department at Southern Miss as a Marketing Graduate Assistant. There he was the primary contact for Women’s Soccer, Women’s Basketball, Beach Volleyball and Seymour’s Sidekicks, the department’s kids club.
Before arriving at Southern Miss, Cornwell worked in the Athletics Fan Experience and Promotions Department at Liberty. He served as an intern (2018), a marketing coordinator (2018-19), and as lead marketing coordinator (2019) during his two years there.
Cornwell earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management from Liberty in December 2019.
Originally from Winston-Salem, N.C., Cornwell currently resides in Madison Heights, Va. with his wife, Natalie and their daughter, Adley. The couple was married in June 2022.
