Prep: Graduated from Gainesville High School … finished his high school career with a 221-37 record (85.7 winning percentage) … posted a 49-17 record as a freshman at 112 pounds, finishing fourth in the area … claimed the area championship as a sophomore with a 58-11 record at 119 pounds … posted a 55-4 record as a junior at 125 pounds … finished second in the area and was a AAA state champion as a junior … capped off his prep career with a 59-5 record as a senior, finishing third in the area and second in the state.
