Prep: Graduated from Indiana Senior High School … finished his high school career with a 103-38 record (73.0 winning percentage) … posted a 29-10 record as a freshman at 185 pounds, helping him qualify for the PJW state tournament … recorded a 29-7 mark as a junior at 189 pounds … was named to the All-Indiana Gazette Wrestling team as a junior and he qualified for the Southwest Regional Championship … capped off his prep career by posting a 35-5 record … team captain as a senior and was the Terry Owens "Most Outstanding Wrestler" during the 2005-06 season … was awarded the Lorraine Petras "Book and Mat" scholarship and award as a senior … was named to the second-team All-Academic team in 2006.
