What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty was the perfect fit for me because it aligned with my goals both personally and athletically. I wanted to be closer to my family after spending four years away, while also having the opportunity to give back by mentoring younger athletes and serving the community. Most importantly, Liberty's mission of putting God first deeply resonated with me. My faith guides the way I strive to live my life, and I knew I wanted to spend my final year at a university that shared those values. Liberty gave me the opportunity to continue competing at a high level while growing spiritually, developing as a leader, and finishing my collegiate career with purpose.
Is there something about your life and upbringing you would consider unique?
I grew up in Lynchburg, so coming back for my fifth year has been a really special experience. It's been amazing to see how much the city has grown and evolved over the years while still feeling like home. It's given me an even greater appreciation for the community and all that Lynchburg has to offer.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my mom. No matter how much she has going on, she always stays positive and puts our family first. Her faith, strength, and selflessness inspire me every day. She's always there when I need someone to lean on, never backs down from a challenge, and somehow manages to make everyone around her feel loved while still making time for the things she's passionate about. She truly embodies the kind of woman I hope to become one day.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic moment was during my sophomore year at the CCSA Conference Tournament when my partner and I clinched the South Carolina vs. LSU dual. It was the first time our program had ever defeated LSU, and our win advanced us to the conference finals. Contributing to such a historic moment and celebrating it with my teammates is something I'll never forget.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My fiancé, Sam Guridy, played Division I football at Liberty University.
Do you possess any special or unique talents, interests, or hobbies?
I'm passionate about nutrition, cooking, and overall wellness. In the future, I'd love to become a certified Pilates instructor and continue helping others live healthier, more confident lives. I also minored in Spanish at the University of South Carolina, and I enjoy using and continuing to develop my Spanish skills whenever I have the opportunity.
