What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I knew that Liberty was the school for me when I saw the standards that they hold and the values they’ve instilled in their students and athletes.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I love listening to music and playing a fun game like Block Blast to distract myself from the nerves before a meet!
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents inspire me more than anyone I have ever known. Although we grew up in a lower income family, my siblings and I would never know it because my parents made sure we always had everything we needed. They have given me strong values and a great work ethic that I will carry with me through my entire life.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Probably the USA junior nationals when I made it to finals! I had put in so much hard work, and to finally achieve that was awesome!
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
I have a grandfather that did diving in college. His name is Scott Goodnight, and it has been so amazing to bond with him over the years.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My absolute favorite meal must either be my momma's tater tot casserole or my mom's homemade chili. I'm making her give me the recipe to both to take to college with me!
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love to read! My favorite genres are mysteries and thrillers!
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have a chihuahua/yorkie mix named Vada Sultenfuss. She's named after the main character in the movie “My Girl.”
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Michael Phelps. I really envied his commitment to his sport, and I strive to be great like him one day.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
“Wannabe” by Spice Girls
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
My dream vacation spot is Italy. I adore the architecture and the beautiful views! I hope to experience them one day.
