Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
It is absolutely beautiful here and the people are pretty great. It just felt like the right place to be on my visit. Being surrounded by people who prioritize their faith and athletics is very hard to come by, so having that here is pretty awesome!
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I wake up extra early on meet days to enjoy my cup of coffee in peace before I eat my protein waffle and get ready for the meet.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My mom inspires me so much because she navigates life with such grace, even during the difficult times. She’s taught me how to have a heart for Jesus and to always treat others with respect. She inspires me so much because she never lets life knock her down and she always keeps moving forward.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
My most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment would be getting All-American at indoor nationals a year after tearing my Achilles because it took everything in me to make there and it took so many awesome people in my corner to get me to that point again.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I would wear 2 because it’s an even number.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Brayson Claunch, my brother, Bass Fishes at Campbellsville University.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal would probably be any type of Mexican Food.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I open Snapchat every day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Reading and Baking.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have a mini golden doodle named Stoops.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Caterine Ibarguen
What is your favorite possession and why?
My coffee maker because I can’t go a day without a nice warm cup of coffee
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Bora Bora because it looks like such a beautiful place to visit.
