Chris Rogers assumed his role as graduate manager with Liberty men’s basketball in June 2024.
Rogers comes to Liberty after spending two years at Cedarville and three years at Trevecca Nazarene, where he was a member of both men’s basketball teams. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene in three years with a bachelor’s degree in business administration in Aug. 2022. He went on to earn a master’s degree in business administration from Cedarville in May 2024. He will be pursuing a graduate certificate in nutrition while at Liberty.
Rogers served as the point guard for Trevecca Nazarene during the 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons and the point guard for Cedarville during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns. He started all 29 games during the 2022-23 season for Cedarville, averaging 8.9 points per game while connecting on 45.2 percent of his three-point attempts (57 makes). He also shot 95.1 percent from the free throw line. Rogers earned NCCAA Scholar-Athlete honors and made the G-MAC Academic Team and was also an NABC Honors Court recipient. During his final season at Cedarville (2023-24), Rogers helped Cedarville win the NCCAA Men’s Basketball Championship title, with the Yellow Jackets concluding the year with a 23-12 record. Rogers averaged 10.8 ppg and made 76 three-pointers, shooting 43.2 percent from long distance.
During the 2021-22 season at Trevecca Nazarene, Rogers averaged 9.0 points and a team-best 2.8 assists per game. He averaged 9.5 ppg and shot 95.2 percent from the foul line during the 2020-21 campaign. During his freshman season (2019-20), Rogers averaged 10.7 ppg and a team-best 3.3 apg.
Originally from Harrisonburg, Va., Rogers currently resides in Lynchburg.
