Prep: Graduated from Elkin High School … four-year letterwinner … three-time first-team All-Northwest Conference honoree … finished his sophomore year with 108 tackles, 10 sacks, 11 tackles for a loss and a defensive touchdown … named to the first-team AP all-state defensive team as a junior after finishing the year with 149 tackles, 19 sacks, 28 tackles for a loss, two blocked punts and two defensive touchdowns … recorded 153 tackles, 26 tackles for a loss, 10 sacks, eight forced fumbles and six pass breakups during his senior campaign.
