Alexis Mitcheltree stepped into her role as a Sports Nutrition Fellow for the Liberty Football, Men’s Golf and Men’s and Women’s Tennis programs in May 2024.
In her current role, Mitcheltree’s primary objectives are to educate, guide and support student-athletes in optimizing their nutrition for peak performance both on and off the field, as well as helping them reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
Prior to assuming her current role, Mitcheltree assisted as a Sports Nutrition Fellow with the Pittsburgh football team during the 2022 season and assisted with Pittsburgh Gymnastics, Men’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, Men’s Wrestling and the multis and jumpers of the Track & Field Team in her time at Pitt.
Mitcheltree earned a master’s degree in nutrition and dietetics from Pittsburgh in April 2024. She also received a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Eastern Michigan in Aug. 2018. Mitcheltree was a four-year member of the Eastern Michigan swimming & diving team (2013-17).
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., Mitcheltree currently resides in Lynchburg with her husband, Jason Restich.
