What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty University stood out to me because it offers a strong combination of competitive football and a respected engineering program. It gives me the opportunity to grow as both a student and an athlete while preparing for my future career. I believe Liberty’s culture, coaching staff, and commitment to excellence make it the right place for me to succeed.
Is there something about your life and upbringing you would consider unique?
One thing that makes my upbringing unique is that I was raised to value hard work, discipline, and perseverance in everything I do. My parents taught me to earn what I have and never take opportunities for granted. Those values have shaped me into the student-athlete and person I am today.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My biggest inspiration is my parents because they have always led by example through their hard work, sacrifice, and unwavering support. They have taught me the value of discipline, perseverance, and staying committed to my goals, both on the field and in the classroom. Everything they have done for me motivates me to make them proud and become the best student, athlete, and person I can be.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
One of my most memorable athletic accomplishments was being selected to play in the North Carolina vs. South Carolina Shrine Bowl during my senior year of high school. Competing alongside some of the best players from both states was an incredible honor and showed that my hard work had paid off. That experience pushed me to keep striving for excellence and prepared me for the next level of football.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
I chose to wear number 55 because it represents my birthday, September 5, 2005. The number is a personal reminder of where my journey began and motivates me every time I step onto the field. Wearing 55 gives my number a special meaning and reminds me to play with purpose.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Yes. My cousin, Maurice Hicks, played running back in the NFL for the San Francisco 49ers. Watching his journey and seeing what it took to compete at the highest level has inspired me to work hard, stay disciplined, and pursue my own goals in football.
Do you possess any special or unique talents, interests, or hobbies?
Outside of football, I enjoy working out, staying active, and learning more about fitness and nutrition to improve my performance. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and finding ways to continue growing both on and off the field. I’m always looking for opportunities to challenge myself and improve in everything I do.
