An Inside Look from the Coaching Staff: Returns after suffering a broken ankle during last summer’s training camp … solidified his starting role with a solid spring workout … very fast and athletic player.
2008 (Jr.): Sat out the year with an ankle injury … was named the winner of the 2008 Samkon Gado Award at the conclusion of spring practice coming into the 2008 season, given annually to the most-improved player on the team.
2007 (So.): Stepped onto the field for action during nine contests … ranked 16th on the team with 19 total tackles … one of 13 players to finish the year with more solo tackles than assisted stops … two solo stops against Tusculum to open the year … recorded a solo and assisted tackle against William & Mary and VMI … also added his first career kickoff return against VMI … recorded three tackles during three-straight games against St. Francis, Pa., Toledo and Charleston Southern … also had three tackles, including two solo stops and a pass break-up against Coastal Carolina ... recorded an assisted tackle against Gardner-Webb, helping the Flames seal Liberty’s first-ever Big South championship with a victory over the Bulldogs.
2006 (Fr.): Member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll … saw playing time in seven games … finished the year with two solo tackles … recorded single stops against St. Paul’s and Wake Forest.
Prep: Graduated from The Bolles School … three-year varsity starter … helped lead his junior varsity squad to a state championship as a freshman, finishing the year with 30 tackles … named Special Teams Player of the Year as a sophomore, while the team finished as a runner-up in the state playoffs … led The Bolles School to a state title as a junior, finishing the year with 55 tackles and two interceptions … recorded 60 tackles and an interception as a senior and helped his squad to the state playoffs … also competed in track and field and weightlifting.
