2008 (R-Jr.): Saw playing time in four games … was on the field against North Greenville, Stony Brook, Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb … caught two passes for 20 yards … had a 13-yard reception against Stony Brook … hauled in a seven-yard pass against Gardner-Webb.
Previous Sport: Was a member of the men's basketball program for two years (2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons) … redshirted in 2005.
Prep: Graduated from Horizon High School … member of the junior varsity football program as a freshman … garnered second-team all-conference honors with 16 receptions and three touchdowns as a senior … also excelled in the sport of basketball … helped his squad to a CIF State championship as a junior with a 32-1 record … CIF City champions (2003-05).
Personal: Son of Zack and Amanda Jones … father was an assistant coach on Liberty's men's basketball coaching staff for two years (2005-06 and 2006-07 season) … uncle Saladin Martin was a member of the San Francisco 49ers Super Bowl championship squad in 1981 … majoring in sport management … would like to pursue a career in coaching after graduation.
