An Inside Look from the Coaching Staff: Moved to tailback from wide receiver during the spring … has nice size and runs well … continues to improve daily and will be a viable option for the Flames.
2008 (R-So.): Increased his playing time over his redshirt freshman season, seeing playing time in 10 out of 12 games … finished the year with 19 carries for 75 yards … his 19 carries ranked fourth on the squad … opened the year with a 15-yard carry against North Greenville … carried the ball five times for 34 yards against Glenville State … recorded a career-high nine rushing attempts for 26 yards against Stony Brook … had four rushing attempts against Charleston Southern.
2007 (R-Fr.): Saw playing time in six games … the Flames were victorious each time he stepped on the gridiron, helping Liberty record victories over Tusculum, Shippensburg, St. Francis, Pa., Charleston Southern, VMI and Gardner-Webb … carried the ball once for four yards against St. Francis, Pa.
2006 (Fr.): Redshirted.
Prep: Graduated from William Campbell High School … four-year letterwinner … passed for 2,100 yards and 18 touchdowns as a junior and rushed for 1,250 yards and 23 touchdowns … first-team all-district and second-team all-region as a junior … threw for 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior and added 1,036 yards rushing and 13 touchdowns … first-team all-district, first-team all-region and first-team all-state as a senior …. also was named the District Player of the Year … was a member of the William Campbell state championship team in 2002 and led the squad to another state title in 2005.
