Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
Liberty was the perfect place for me to become fully equipped to step into the calling the Lord has laid in my life, while also being surrounded by like-minded people who truly love the Lord, and getting to compete athletically at the highest level.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
Spending intentional time in prayer before each game is something super important to me. I have been doing this since freshman year of high school when I started playing football, and it has continued to be a tradition of mine to this day.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
In my life, my dad is my greatest inspiration. My Dad loves the Lord and our family fiercely and has always shown me the value of generosity and choosing to serve first. He has set an incredible example of what it looks like to give 100% at everything you do while being completely led by the Lord every step of the way.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meal is a 3-way tie between a medium cooked steak with mashed potatoes on the side, Chicken Avocado Lime tacos from a hometown Mexican restaurant, and any Chicken Hibachi dinner with a spicy tuna sushi roll on the side.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I start my day in the Word. Whether that be in the Bible app or opening up my Bible next to my bed, the time I spend in the Word in the mornings helps me start my days off humbled, grateful, and fully submitted to what the Lord has for me each day.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I absolutely love hiking, camping, rock climbing, really anything outdoors. I am also a HUGE Lego fan.
What is your favorite possession and why?
My favorite possession at the moments is my late grandfather’s Bible. He passed away in the Spring of 2025 and I got to keep one of his bibles he used while he was in college. Reading through the notes, things he emphasized and highlighted in the Word has truly been one of the things that has blessed me the most this summer, and that is why it is so special to me.
What is your Go-To karaoke song?
Anything Justin Bieber
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
I have always wanted to hike the Southern Alps of New Zealand or the Swiss Alps of Switzerland.
