What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I came to liberty because it was a Christian school. I believed that was very important for the development of my faith. They also have division 1 football, which was what I desired to play.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I love the story of David and Goliath, so before every game I read 1 Samuel 17.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents are my biggest inspiration in my life. They have worked so hard to provide for my siblings and I, and they taught us to pursue our best self, which has gotten me to where I’m at now.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
When I got to play in the football state playoffs my sophomore year of high school.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
My dad, Sam Ryan, played in college at Washington University and Western Washington University.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
My favorite meals are lasagna and BBQ ribs.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I enjoy cooking food, hanging out with friends, playing videos games and chess.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have multiple dogs back home, Stan, Louie, Winnie, Pepper, Lola, and Murphy.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
Marshawn Lynch.
What is your favorite possession and why?
My Bible, because it is the word of God.
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
My dream vacation would be Greece because I grew up loving their mythology and history, and the architecture there is beautiful.
