2010 (Jr.): Phil Steele Postseason fourth-team All-America selection … Big South first-team all-conference honoree … VaSID all-state first-team selection … started all 11 games … helped the Flames finish the season ranked No. 20 nationally in rushing defense … also led the Big South and ranked No. 17 in the country in total defense (309.18 yards allowed per game) and No. 24 in scoring defense (20.81 points per game) … ranked third on the team in total tackles, posting a career-high 41 tackles … led all defensive linemen in tackles … ranked sixth in the Big South in tackles per game by defensive linemen … doubled his career tackle for a loss total, finishing the year with 3.5 tackles for a loss of eight yards during the season … 2.0 sacks … had five stops at Ball State, including a sack on a fourth-down play on Ball State’s last drive to secure the victory for the Flames over the FBS program … career days against Gardner-Webb and Stony Brook, with six stops each … helped limit Stony Brook’s potent rushing attack to 49 team rushing yards … posted a season-high three quarterback hurries against Gardner-Webb.
2009 (So): Big South second-team all-conference … started 10 of 11 games and saw action in all 11 contests … ranked eighth overall in total tackles and second among defensive linemen with 40 stops … sixth on the squad in assisted tackles (32) … tied for fifth in the Big South in tackles per game (3.6) … finished four games with five or more tackles as Liberty’s starting nose guard … recorded a season high seven assisted stops against North Carolina Central … had his second-best performance of the year at Stony Brook, finishing the game with six tackles, including a tackle for a loss of two yards … four tackles against VMI to go along with a quarterback hurry and a fumble recovery which he returned 11 yards … five assisted tackles against No. 6 James Madison … six stops, including four assisted tackles against West Virginia Wesleyan … finished the Charleston Southern game with three tackles, including two assisted stops … two assisted tackles and quarterback hurry in a road victory over Gardner-Webb … helped Liberty finish the year ranked No. 24 in scoring defense (19.09), No. 24 in fumbles recovered (12) and No. 1 in turnover margin (1.91).
2008 (Fr.): Saw playing time in all 12 games as a true freshman … finished the year in double figures for total tackles (10) … was fourth on the squad with five quarterback hurries … one of 21 players to finish the year with at least one tackle for a loss … helped Liberty shutout Charleston Southern, 42-0, by recording a season-best three assisted stops … added two assisted tackles during the Flames victory over Gardner-Webb, which sealed the Flames second-straight undefeated Big South season … … helped the Flames rank No. 13 in scoring defense (18.67 point per game), posting two shutouts and holding three opponents without a touchdown.
