What brought you to Liberty and what brought you to Liberty football?
I came in for aviation and wrestling. I did walk on tryouts and I made the team.
What made you want to play football?
Well, I always enjoyed watching games with my family. I was fascinated by the strategy and teamwork involved. When I got the chance to play in school, I jumped at it. It was a way to challenge myself physically and mentally.

Were you recruited out of high school?
I had 4 offers, Saint Thomas, little, little schools, the highest school was D2, Mount Olive for wrestling. I had about 6 offers coming out of high school.
You liked Liberty as a landing place better than some of the other offers you had?
Yes, definitely, the school is pretty nice, looks nice, the environment's pretty good, Christian.
Was the school more important than it was the sport that they offered or anything like that?
Not really, just really the environment, then we have one of the best aviation programs around here.
What position did you play in high school?
Nickelback. I played all over the field, safety, corner.
Did you know any of the coaches or anyone in the program before you tried out?
No, no, not at all. We have new coaches, new, it's a whole new program.
Can you tell me about your experience with the project?
It was a challenging project, but I learned a lot. We had to coordinate with multiple teams, which was a bit overwhelming at first. But, yeah, we managed to pull through and deliver on time.
What was the most difficult part?
The most difficult part was, um, definitely the initial planning phase. We had to, uh, gather requirements from different stakeholders, and it was, like, hard to get everyone on the same page. But once we got past that, things started to, uh, flow more smoothly
How did you handle the challenges?
We focused on, um, clear communication and setting realistic deadlines. It was important to, uh, keep everyone informed and, like, make sure that any issues were addressed quickly.
What did you enjoy most about the project?
I enjoyed seeing the final product come together. It was, uh, rewarding to see all our hard work pay off.
What do you think caught the coaches eyes?
I mean, I dominated on the field. I took every rep serious, jumped in line. I was in front, pretty much showed them off.
How long did that tryout last and what were those conversations at the end of it with the coaches?
I think it was pretty quick. It was an hour 30, maybe 2 hours. A couple of people, I caught their eye by my 40, really. It was pretty good. I talked to DL afterwards and we had a good conversation after that.
How long before you were on the team at that point?
We were talking maybe a week.
Anybody else in your family play college or pro sports?
No.
Tell me about your family, parents, siblings, parents?
I have 3 other brothers, one's 17, one's 12, and one's 4. My parents, my mom's a principal. Dad is a manager at Chick fil A.
Any family, military ties, anything like that?
My whole family came from the military, mom's side, really, uncles, Air Force.
Hobbies outside of football?
Wrestling, gaming. I like gaming for real. That's about it.
What weight class were you in? Any big wins, championships? I mean, how good has your wrestling career been?
Wrestling here at the school, it was pretty good. I was starting off at 65 and I cut down to 57. I made some improvements, took down a lot of big dogs in the NCAA. It was pretty good.
Do you like to be physical?
Oh, I like to be physical. Wrestling is really good for football tackling wise, hitting wise.
Anything else about you that friends, maybe people just don't know about you?
No, I'm a laid-back person, chilled, everybody knows I'm pretty chill.
