What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I think this is the perfect place for me because of the joy that comes with being on the teams at Liberty. Right when I came for a visit, I felt loved and welcomed and everyone was so intentional and kind. It’s more than a sport it’s a place where we grow together which makes it so different from anywhere else!
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I pray and recite verses in my head over and over to calm my nerves.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My Dad is in the Army, and he is just such a hard worker and dedicated to serving others.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Winning the State Championship in the 2024 Cross Country Season. There was so much joy with teammates, we felt very accomplished.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
Either 5 or 7, there five kids in my family who I love. There is 7 people in my family total.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Yes, my brother, JT Mayo, Football at William and Mary, my brother, Jackson Mayo, Basketball at Army West Point, my mom, Anna Mayo, played Basketball at Lipscomb University.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
Breakfast is my favorite, waffles and fruit.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I check my Messages.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
Drinking and making coffee.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
Yes, I have a Chocolate Lab named Mea.

My Bible, it’s the thing that never fails to lift me up and encourage me.

What is your dream vacation spot and why?
Hawaii because I love the beach and surfing.
2025 Outdoor Track & Field (Fr.)
- Came in seventh overall and fourth among the Lady Flames in the CUSA steeplechase, lowering her own Liberty freshman record to 10:50.40 (No. 6 in program history)
- She had previously set Liberty freshman steeplechase standards at the Colonial Relays (11:01.60) and Virginia Challenge (11:00.47)
- CUSA Commissioner’s Academic Medal winner
- CUSA Commissioner’s Honor Roll member
2024-25 Indoor Track & Field (Fr.)
- Among her top efforts were a 5:06.78 mile for fifth place at the Liberty Open and a 10:11.42 3K at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational
2024 Cross Country (Fr.)
- Punctuated her freshman season with a personal-best 21:47.8 6K clocking at the Roanoke XC Invitational. That earned a 14th-place finish and helped the Lady Flames win the team title.

- Graduated from Jamestown High School
- Helped her team capture the Virginia Class 4 state cross country title as a senior in 2023 with an 11th-place individual finish
- Closed out her senior year of track & field at the Matthes-Hopkins Track Complex, helping Jamestown win the Virginia Class 4 4 x 800 relay title and placing third in the 800 in a personal-best 2:17.86
- Also a second team all-state performer in basketball as a senior
- Attended Mililani High School in Hawai’i as a freshman and sophomore, placing eighth in the 800 at the 2022 Hawai’i state championship
