• During his senior season, Fields was the team captain and was named to the Winston-Salem Journal All-Northwest Team after averaging 15 points, 11 assists and two steals per game
• Off the court, Fields was the co-valedictorian of his graduating class at QEA and volunteered weekly to read to elementary school children, coordinating the outreach program for the basketball team
• As a high school sophomore, Fields helped Southeastern (Mich.) High School to a district championship and was named his team's most improved player
• He also earned all-conference honors as a freshman at Lake Orion (Mich.) High School
