Student-Athlete Q&A
What made Liberty University the right place for you to attend college/compete at the collegiate level?
I have always dreamed of playing at a Christian school, and Liberty seemed like the perfect fit. I love all the coaching staff and the way they coach. Liberty’s mission of training champions for Christ is what ultimately drew me to the university.
Is there anything special you do pregame or postgame and why?
I always listen to worship music, as it helps me get in the right head space before stepping onto the court. I’m a big fan of worship music. Also, my dad always writes me motivational notes that I’ll read before a game.
Who in your life inspires you and why are they such an inspiration?
My parents really inspire me. They were both athletes in college and the way they lead our family is incredible. They are constantly showing up as great role models and doing anything they can for my brothers and me.
What is your most memorable athletic moment/accomplishment?
Winning the state championship my senior year with all my best friends. It was the best way my high school career could have ended.
If you picked your jersey/uniform number, why is that number important to you?
24 has been my number all through high school, so it means a lot that I can continue to wear it.
Do you have any relatives who are playing or have played college or professional sports? (Names, relation to you, what/where they played)?
Both of my parents played at Ohio University. My dad played football, while my mom played volleyball and got to go to the Olympic trials.
Favorite meal (breakfast/lunch/dinner) and what is that special meal?
I love breakfast food, and my favorite would for sure have to be a cinnamon roll.
What is the first app you check on your phone each day?
I always check my Bible app before anything else.
What is your favorite hobby outside of athletics?
I love playing the piano and drums.
Do you have any current pets (name and type of animal)?
I have two golden doodle dogs named Murphy and Moses.
Who was your favorite athlete growing up?
I loved Braxton Miller from Ohio State, also Zion Williamson.
What is your favorite possession and why?
My favorite possessions are my Bible and journal. I bring them everywhere.
What is your go-to karaoke song?
“She’s Country” by Jason Aldean or “Feel So Good” by Mase
What is your dream vacation spot and why?
I would love to see Hawaii, as I really want to go surfing and my parents always talk about how amazing it is.
