Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, October 2, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Liberty forward Michael Huss is the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Huss is coming off the first hat trick of his career, netting the first three goals in Liberty's 7-1 win over Western Illinois.
"Oh yeah, it was such a fun night. Honestly, for me it was just doing my role. Lot of tap-ins for me – the first goal, Skyler Stricker had a great ball back over off the corner. The second goal, Gabe played a great ball to Aidan and he played a perfect ball to Leo and Leo with an amazing cross to me. So, all the goals, it's just everyone doing their own role. Fortunately, I just get to have the part with the camera."
Next, Liberty begins a 12-day, four game road trip with an OVC game at Incarnate Word, Thursday night at eight o'clock Eastern.
Lady Flames soccer is also back in action Thursday. Liberty hosts UTEP in a CUSA game at six o'clock Eastern.
