Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, November 20, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The Flames still have a chance to play for the Conference USA football title. This Saturday will go a long ways towards determining whether that happens as Liberty will host Western Kentucky in a critical conference showdown. The Flames need a win over the Hilltoppers and another win next week to get in to the title game on December sixth. Flames Head Coach Jamey Chadwell on how his team is approaching the final two weeks.
"You have an opportunity if you play well to put yourself in a position to play for a conference championship. So, this late in the season that should excite us but also I know we're going to have to play really well versus Western Kentucky because they're really good in all three phases. It's going to be a big challenge for us. We're going to be an underdog. They're better than us in all three phases right now. So, we're going to have to play really well if we're going to have a chance to beat them."
Saturday's game kicks off at one Eastern at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg.
