Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, March 19, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Flames baseball gets a come-from-behind win over another top 25 ball club. Wednesday night in Lynchburg, Liberty downed 11th ranked Wake Forest, 11-8. Flames shortstop Tanner Marsh had two hits, including the go-ahead two run hit in the fourth inning.
"Nine guys on the field know that we are never out of the fight. It doesn't matter what inning it is, you know, as long as you just have that faith, and keep believing and keep fighting until the end, you know, anything can happen."
The Flames trailed the Demon Deacons, 5-0 after two innings before staging their comeback. Liberty opens Conference USA this weekend at home against New Mexico State.
And Flames softball looks to bounce back today when Liberty visits North Carolina. First pitch tonight at seven o'clock. Last night, the Lady Flames were swept in a doubleheader at 19th ranked Duke. Live play-by-play of tonight's game is on the Liberty Flames mobile app.
