Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, March 12, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Starting with men's hoops – No. 1 seed Liberty takes on eight seed UTEP tonight in the Conference USA tournament quarterfinals. Tip-off in Huntsville, Ala. is set for 6:30 Eastern. Liberty Head Coach Ritchie McKay on his team's ability to win on the road and how that'll factor in to this week.
"You garner a little more confidence when you've success wearing a road jersey, playing in a different environment with different rims, backgrounds and all that."
The Flames split the season series with UTEP, including a win in an El Paso.
Also, in Huntsville, the Lady Flames' will meet Sam Houston in the quarterfinals today at 12:30 Eastern. Liberty is also the one seed in the women's tournament. Liberty swept Sam Houston in the regular season series.
And Flames baseball looks to bounce back today from Tuesday's loss at Clemson. The Flames and 10th ranked Tigers will wrap up their two-game set today at 4 p.m. You can hear all these games today on the Liberty Flames mobile app and www.LibertyFlames.com.
