Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, June 19, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Eighteen Flames football players are on this year's Phil Steele Preseason All-Conference USA teams. Also, Flames kick returner Julian Gray has been named a Phil Steele Preseason All-American. Last year at NC State, Gray tied for 11th in the nation with 26 yards per kickoff return and added one for a touchdown.
Quarterback Kaidon Salter was a first team all-conference selection and one of seven Flames on offense to receive preseason all-conference honors. Safety Brylan Green was also a first-team pick on defense and was fourth team at punt return. And we're just 73 days away from kickoff. Liberty will host Campbell in the season opener on Saturday, August 31st at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg. Kickoff's at 6 p.m. Eastern.
