Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, January 10, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
The top two scoring defenses in Conference USA men's basketball are set to meet tonight in Lynchburg. Liberty will host Jacksonville State at seven o'clock. The Flames lead CUSA and are tenth in the nation giving up 61.9 points per game. The Gamecocks are 14th in the nation allowing 62.4. Flames guard Collin Porter on what fans can expect to see.
"It'll be competitive. We'll love being back in our Liberty Arena but no matter where we're at that game will always be competitive. So, we're just going to go out and compete and give our very best."
Also tonight, the Liberty Lady Flames are at Jacksonville State. That game tips off at 7:30 Eastern. You can hear both games on www.LibertyFlames.com and the Liberty Flames mobile app.
And Flames football finishes ranked 25th in the final AP top 25 poll. Liberty went 13-1, winning Conference USA and making it's first New Year's Six appearance in the Fiesta Bowl.
