Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, February 28, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Â
Flames baseball begins a five-game road trip today in Wilmington, N.C. Liberty visits UNC Wilmington with first pitch at 4 p.m. Eastern. It'll be a family affair as Flames shortstop Tanner Marsh will face his brother, seahawks centerfielder Trevor Marsh.
Â
"I couldn't be any more happy. You know, I played with my brothers most of my life and now I get to go play a college baseball game against my brother - I'm hyped man!"
Â
As far as what colors his family in attendance will be wearing??? "At this point, I don't know. You know, I got a big family so it'll probably be split up the most but, they better wear the Liberty red (laughs)."
You can hear today's game on the Liberty Flames Sports Network from Van Wagner. Airtime is 3:30 Eastern.
Â
And for a second straight year, Liberty's Warren Barrett is headed to the NCAA Indoor National Championships. The All-American will compete in the shot put on March 9th in Boston.
