As the season opener gets closer for Flames football, Liberty kicks off against Bowling Green this Saturday at 12 noon, many newcomers on the roster are getting ready to experience a home game day for the first time. Sixth-year senior wide receiver Noah Frith had this to say to those first timers.
"It's going to shock them. Like it shocked me, five or six years ago. When you think of Lynchburg, Va. you don't think anyone's here. Let's just be real. I mean, when I first came up here I didn't think anyone was here. I didn't know what to expect. That first FBS game was Old Dominion in 2018 and I ran out there and I saw how many crazy fans we have. I just told them to be ready and be excited. They want to see us play good and they like to see us win."
And from field hockey on Tuesday – 14th-ranked Liberty gets a huge road win at No. 6 Virginia, 3-1 the final score. The Lady Flames move to 3-0 with their first win over UVA since 2018.
