Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Wednesday, August 14, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Flames football Fan Appreciation Day is this Saturday and it'll be the first chance for fans to see the team in action. It'll also be the first chance for players to take the field in front of a live audience. Flames Head Coach Jamey Chadwell on what he wants to see in Saturday's scrimmage.
"How do we come out? How do we play in front of people? Are we doing the things that we've been coached to do for the previous 15 practices or 14 practices whatever that scrimmage number is. And are we playing hard? Are we living up to the values that we believe in? After that, realistically, most of your depth chart should be settled."
If you're planning to come to Saturday's event, Williams Stadium gates will open at 5:30 and the scrimmage starts at six. Admission is free and there'll be inflatables for the kids. After practice, fans can stay to get pictures and autographs with players and coaches.
And we're now just 17 days away from kickoff! Liberty hosts Campbell on August 31st.
