Another week, another win for Flames football! Tuesday night, in Lynchburg, Liberty came from behind to knock off Middle Tennessee, 42-35. Kaidon Salter connected with CJ Daniels on a 37-yard touchdown strike early in the fourth quarter to take the lead for good. It was one of two TDs on the night for Salter, who also rushed for a career-high 160 yards.
"We play for each other and we all believe in each other, so, once we go out there if we're playing together I feel like no one can stop us, no matter how tight the game is, the Flames are always going to find a way to end on top."
Liberty now moves to 7-0 and 5-0 in Conference USA. With Western Kentucky's loss to Jacksonville State last night, the Flames are now in sole possession of first place in CUSA. Liberty travels Western Kentucky next Tuesday night. That game will be on ESPNU.
