Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Tuesday, October 24, 2023, I'm Nick Pierce.
Flames football is on the road tonight for a battle of the top two preseason favorites in Conference USA. Liberty will take on Western Kentucky at 7:30 Eastern in Bowling Green, as the Flames look to stay unbeaten and move to 8-0. The game features the top two scoring offenses in Conference USA but Flames Head Coach Jamey Chadwell says his defense is ready for the challenge.
"They know we're playing great receivers. They know the quarterback's the preseason player of the year and all those things so, they're good. They're going to make plays. They've got a good offense and good scheme, so they're going to make plays. But I expect us to play better. I hope it's not a high-scoring affair. I hope we score a lot and they score a little. That's what I hope it is."
