Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Tuesday, October 22, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
It's game day eve for Flames football, as Liberty prepares to put it's perfect 5-0 record on the line at 0-6 Kennesaw State. The Conference USA game kicks off Wednesday night at seven Eastern in metro Atlanta. Despite the perfect record, the Flames have survived some close calls. Quarterback Kaidon Salter says after the bye week, the team has one mission.
"Just come out and dominate. That's something that we haven't been doing and that's something that we know we haven't been doing. That's something that over this break we all sat down and talked about it. Getting an understanding of why haven't we been as explosive as we were (last year), just understanding that we can still do that."
And Flames volleyball senior Kate Gammer is the Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week. Gammer's 26 kills in Saturday's win over Middle Tennessee were the most of any player in a four-set match in the conference this year.
