Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Tuesday, May 28, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
In it's first season in Conference USA, Liberty claimed ten championships on the field but the Flames also won in the classroom. Liberty led all CUSA schools with 388 student-athletes on the Commissioner's honor roll this past year. A GPA of 3.0 or better is required for the Commissioner's honor roll. Liberty also led the conference with 145 commissioner's academic medal winners. Those student athletes held a GPA of 3.75 or better.
After winning another BIG EAST title and again playing in the NCAA Tournament, the Liberty field hockey team faces another challenging schedule this fall. It includes 18 regular season games with five opponents that finished ranked inside the top 20 last year.
Liberty will host defending national champion and No. 1 North Carolina in Lynchburg on September 22nd. See the full schedule at www.LibertyFlames.com.
