Time now for Today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Tuesday, March 11, 2025, I'm Nick Pierce.
Liberty baseball begins a two-game road trip today at 10th ranked Clemson. The Flames and Tigers get underway at four o'clock Eastern. You can hear the game on www.LibertyFlames.com and the Flames mobile app.
On to softball, the 24th ranked Lady Flames are on the road at Marshall tonight for a six o'clock game. Liberty's won eight straight while Marshall has won it's last six. The Lady Flames have won the last four meetings in the series with the Herd.
Four Liberty Flames are on the CUSA men's basketball all-conference teams. Kaden Metheny was named to the second team. Zach Cleveland and Taelon Peter were named third-team all-conference and Peter was named the league's Sixth Man of the Year. Also, the Lady Flames have five all-conference selections, including Bella Smuda named first-team all-conference and to the all-defensive team.
Both the Flames and Lady Flames open CUSA Tournament play in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.
