Time now for today's Liberty Flames Minute! Brought to you by Select Bank for this Tuesday, February 27, 2024, I'm Nick Pierce.
Liberty's annual spring football game is this Saturday at Williams Stadium in Lynchburg. Fans are welcomed to come watch the team scrimmage at 1:30. Afterwards, head coach Jamey Chadwell and the team will meet with fans for pictures and autographs. There will also be inflatable rides for kids. Admission to Saturday's scrimmage is free.
Liberty softball pitcher Kaylan Yoder is the Conference USA Freshman of the Week. Last weekend, Yoder went 2-0 with a 0.78 ERA in two appearances in the Liberty Softball Classic, facing No. 25 Penn State and Morgan State. Next, Liberty travels to defending national champion and No. 1 ranked Oklahoma for a tournament. The Lady Flames will face the Sooners twice, also Tulsa and Louisiana.
And in women's lacrosse, Liberty will host 12th-ranked Duke today at four o'clock. Admission is free. You can also see the game on ESPN+.
