Reality is still setting in for Flames football players after receiving an invite to the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl. No. 23 Liberty will face eighth-ranked Oregon at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix on New Year's Day at 1 p.m. Eastern. Flames wide receiver Noah Frith reacts to the match-up.
"I didn't even really care who we played. I just wanted to see, 'Liberty. New Year's Six bowl. Someone else.' it didn't really matter to me. I'm still just sinking into the fact that we're in a New Year's Six bowl. I know we're playing Oregon and I'm ready to play but we're just grateful to be here."
Coming up tonight, Flames basketball returns to Liberty Arena in Lynchburg. Liberty's men will host Mississippi Valley State at 7 p.m. Eastern. Liberty is 6-2 and trying to stop a two-game skid after falling to FAU and Charleston in Boca Raton last week.
