Flames quarterback Kaidon Salter is one of 50 players on the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award preseason watch list. The award is the nation's fourth-oldest individual college football accolade.
Salter is one of only 22 quarterbacks on the watch list. It's the second national preseason watch list for Salter, who was also named to the Maxwell Award watch list last week. Salter threw for more than 2,800 yards and 32 touchdowns last year and rushed for another 12 scores.
And we're now just 25 days away from kickoff! Liberty hosts Campbell in the season opener on August 31st.
And for a second straight year, Liberty women's soccer goalkeeper Ainsley Leja is a United Soccer Coach's Association Player to Watch. Leja was last year's CUSA Goalkeeper of the Year and allowed just 12 goals in 20 starts, helping Liberty win the conference title.
